This booklet constitutes the refereed lawsuits of the 2 workshops held on the 14th overseas convention on rules and perform of Multi-Agent structures, PRIMA 2011, held in Wollongong, Australia, in November. The workshops have been, Workshop on Agent dependent Simulation for a Sustainable Society (ABSSS 2011) and overseas Workshop on Multi-Agent clever Computing (MASmart 2011). The eight papers awarded have been rigorously reviewed and chosen from quite a few submissions. The papers disguise themes from agent established simulation for a sustainable society and on multi-agent shrewdpermanent computing.

The forefront of laptop technology study is notoriously ? ckle. New developments come and pick alarming and unfailing regularity. In one of these swiftly altering ? eld, the truth that study curiosity in a topic lasts greater than a yr is necessary of observe. the truth that, after ? ve years, curiosity not just continues to be, yet really keeps to develop is very strange.

7 Conclusion This work aimed at investigating the influence of social norms in facilitating reduced energy consumption in societies using agent-based simulations. First, three models for spreading norm-based influence were investigated namely global, local and neighbourhood models. These three models were compared in the context of spreading the descriptive norm in the society. Second, the impact of the combined effect of injunctive and descriptive norms was investigated. Third, a meta-norm based intervention approach was investigated in order to demonstrate how these interventions can result in faster reduction of energy consumption among households.
We believe, similar to other domains, similaritybased approaches may become the de-facto model for energy-domains. Applications that provide such a service have started to emerge in the marketplace that provide comparison of energy usages across households9. We believe, using realistic models such as similarity-based approaches may also increase users’ motivation in the uptake of the model which may result in further reduction of energy consumption in households. A limitation of the similarity model presented is that we have only considered one dimension, the number of households, to keep the model simple.
